We're #1!

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion: Number One Outdoor Amphitheater in the World

Have you heard? The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is now the number one ranked outdoor amphitheater in the world!

As of September 30, the close of the third business quarter of 2015, Pollstar magazine determined that The Pavilion has had the most successful concert season of any outdoor amphitheater in the world based on overall ticket sales.

This prestigious title is due in large part to the overwhelming success of both contemporary and performing arts events in The Pavilion’s 2015 Season, including fifteen sold out shows.

The Pavilion has consistently placed in the top five of Pollstar’s rankings since 2010, and not without reason. Some of our staff has given their input as to why The Pavilion has consistently ranked so well, and why they think we managed to outsell all other venues this year…

Why is The Pavilion #1?

“I personally think The Pavilion is #1 because it is such a great place to work. When you have happy employees that trickles down into the service they provide and thus happy, returning customers. As a person who has come from another entertainment venue/industry, I have seen the difference it makes when employees have pride in the organization they work for. That success only compounds upon itself and helps to grow a business exponentially.”
            – Sarah Stephan, Social Media Marketing Coordinator
“I believe The Pavilion is #1 because of the amazing community that supports us and the dedicated staff that runs the place. The Pavilion is like a big family and the cohesiveness is exactly why we have been so successful!”
            – Whitney Hough, Marketing & Public Relations Manager
“Because they have a great HR Manager!”
            – Heather Reding, Human Resources Manager
“Professionalism, experience and creative thinkers round out the Pavilions employees, adding to the makeup of the top amphitheater in the world. The outdoor Geographic’s add to the persona of the Pavilion as well!”
            – David Schlauch, Operations Manager
“Providing the best experience for the artist and our guests is what makes us #1 and what keeps both coming back again and again. This has been achieved over years of staff building consistent, positive relationships and experiences with Live Nation, the artists, the tour management, volunteers, business partners, event staff and our guests.”
            – Christine Scully, Development Director
“A charitable nature is the reason The Pavilion is number #1, success was set in motion in 1974 when George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell envisioned a world class venue they would establish for The Woodlands Community.”
            – Leslie Williams, Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator
“Because of the hard work, dedication and loyalty of our supervisors, event staff and full-time staff, coupled with the passionate & knowledgeable leadership of our President, Vice President of Operations, Directors, Managers, Coordinators, Assistants and other support staff is what helps make our venue #1. I also feel that we have the fastest gators, hardest working Ops guys, grooviest Ops Managers, most knowledgeable (and straight up coolest) Event Manager and Box Office Manager and friendliest grounds & maintenance crews in the business! Props to Ops & Props to The CWMP!  J
            – Carla Denman, VIP & Event Coordinator

  1. People in corporate world plan events that help in strengthening the company and explaining people about their company plans and motive. Such events are really helpful in reaching your audience, so corporate event planning must be managed properly according to the aim of the particular event.
